Ali Farzat is a Syrian cartoonist, one of the most renown in the Middle East. For years his cartoons have addressed different issues regarding the social and political situation in Syria, but it was not until 2011 when he became prosecuted by the regime for "ridiculing the government".  In August that year he was kidnapped and severely beaten by regime forces, who broke his fingers.

The following video shows Ali Farzat´s short movie featuring a tank (like the ones Bashar al-Assad uses in Syria) shooting around and looking for a target. The target is the surrounding beauty, civilians, beautiful children and families. Towards the end of the video, a beautiful tulip flower grows from the ground and fights the tank. The flower wins.
