The 5-minute-short film, "Yabroud, Assad is overthrown”, takes us on a journey through the streets of Yabroud, on Damascus’s outskirts, to get a full sense of what Syria would be like after the fall of the Syrian Regime. Activists rebuilding their city, coloring its walls and cleaning its streets. Another scene takes place in one of Yabroud’s main squares, where activists are decorating the place and drawing the flag of the Revolution.
The short film aims to reveal the true face of the uprising through hard work, proving that there is more to the revolution than demonstrating and demanding the fall of the regime; revolutions mean responsibility and nation-building, as an activist explains in the movie, “they will realize that the young guys of the revolution have a civilized mind.”
The film is produced by “Kayani” for audio-visual arts and the “Street” Foundation.
