Dr. Qassem is a Syrian surgeon who refused to flee his country and preferred to stay in the city of Qussair, Homs, to help rescue those who are injured everyday by the regime's bombardment. Despite the siege, shelling and destruction, he was adamant to stay by his people. When the field hospital he works at was shelled and he was forced to leave, he continued working at the Lebanese-Syrian borders, where he remained by his patients' side to treat them.

Over six minutes, reporter, Amal Sallum, takes us on a journey into the life of this unknown soldier. Sallum walks us through the tragedies he has witnessed and the sacrifices he has been making.
