Lorenzo Trombetta

Lorenzo Trombetta (Ph.D.) is a Beirut-based scholar and journalist specialized in contemporary Syria. He authored two books, focusing mainly on the structure of the Syrian power during the last decades. He is senior correspondent for the Italian news agency ANSA and a regular consultant on Syria for several international organizations. He has won the Syrian Studies Association prize for the best article published on Syria between 2014 and 2015.
