Mohammed Abdullah

Mohammed Abdullah (also known as Artino) was born in Damascus. He joined the 2011 uprising and documented the Syrian revolution for more than two years as a war photographer. After four years with The Syria Campaign supporting the advocacy of grassroots movements, he now works as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator with Mnemonic, a project to archive events in Syria, Yemen and Sudan.

At the height of the Syrian government's siege of East Ghouta, photographer Artino was wounded and alone. He turned to photography and writing to help cope.
