Zain Saleh

Zain Saleh is a Syrian-Palestinian playwright, artist, and cultural activist living in Berlin, Germany. Saleh completed the postgraduate course (CAS) Arts and International Cooperation at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). He holds a bachelor’s degree in media from Damascus University and studied Theater Critique and Studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, Syria. Saleh’s work focuses on a number of fields, including theater and dramaturgy, performing arts, translation, editing, and media. He received a Creative and Critical Writings grant from the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture – AFAC to write his first play entitled Chez the Maidenly Madam between Beirut and Berlin, which was then published by Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House in 2020.
