
Thora Pindus is a PhD candidate at Philipps University Marburg, Germany, and a Gerda Henkel Foundation scholarship recipient. She holds an M.A. in International Criminal Justice. Her research focuses on the history and development of the Syrian security apparatus, with particular emphasis on the role and influence of German military advisers and exiled National Socialists between 1945 and 1990.
